Wednesday so the usual, mess around on the internet. Cook dinner. Do some laundry. Try to catch up on some stuff for work. A little gaming and then off to bed. It's boring but the schedule helps me keep in line.

I've just finished some illustrations and have uploaded to Instagram. Now I'm cooking dinner ready for when the husband gets home! We'll be watching Love, Death + Robots when he gets back.

I'm also reading up on how to start a business as a Freelance Illustrator, but I have NO clue what to do, haha.

I am starting my Spring cleaning! I have way too much stuff that is unorgaanized and stuff that needs to be thrown away. Don't know why I insist on keeping things....I am a crafter, quilter and DIY person so I think everything may have a use! LOL

Booze free. What more could I ask for? I am blessed.

Spent the whole day trying to install Linux Mint alongside Windows 10 on my laptop.

As Ubuntu was the only OS that was installed, it wasn't as easy as you'd think.

First I had to create a partition table of type GPT on a USB stick, then format it as FAT32. However, the Windows image I downloaded wouldn't work, as FAT32 only supports files up to 4.2GB, while one of the files takes up 4.4GB of space. I would have thought it would be bootable if I formatted the stick as NTFS (which can handle larger files), but no.

So I downloaded an earlier version of the Windows image, where this file was less than 4.2GB. It finally worked, after hours of figuring it out. My laptop can finally dual boot with Windows 10 and Linux Mint.

(I know there's a lot of tech jargon in this post, but that's just what I do)

At least it kept me from drinking, and focus on something else for a good while.

Wind,

I have to get up for work at 345 am, so I am in bed by 745 PM. GMT -7.

Have to pick up Jr. In 40 minutes, so having some ginger tea and petting my little dog. Her name is Chance Angel.

I am planning on having some food then watching tv. Nothing fancy like dinner. Probably some kind of cold veggie or fruit and a simple protien. Quick and easy.

Not drinking makes the nights different for sure. Being wasted on a work night got to be an pathetic routine that was killing every good thing I had.

Going into work fresh as a peach is the only and right way to go.

I crave sometimes here, but it goes away fast these days. Then I am right back to good and normal.

Thanks.

I live by myself, and don't 'do' much, but am never lonely due to my dog Billie and my three cats, Lily, Zippy, and Franny. I spend a lot of my days and nights just interacting with them, especially with Billie.

Sober, of course.

Here's Billie, my beagirl.

I worked out in the garage this afternoon, making shelves. I'm going to watch movies tonight by myself. Actually, I've been binge watching the original Stargate SG1 TV series. So it's going to be that or something else in my collection.

I'm going to fire up the DVR and watch Survivor when I get home. I don't watch much TV anymore but I've never missed an episode of Survivor since it debuted nearly twenty years ago. The social aspect of the game is what draws me in.

Besides Survivor I'm also going to watch the other show I DVR religiously...Judge Judy! I can only imagine the reaming I would have gotten in my drinking days if I had to give her my sob story.

I am in caregiver hell with my parents who both have alzheimers. This is literally hell. I've done it before, many times, but they are so much worse. I leave on the 28th and I absolutely cannot wait. That's awful huh? I'm up all night with my dad. Its like having a newborn, but not cute and sweet. Yikes.

Ha! Bummer post huh? I want to be Billies, least's doggie. I'm quite sure that's the happiest dog on the planet.

Yeah, I'm sorry.

It's supposed to happen at 2:43am (my time), and maybe I'll bring out one of my cameras to get a few shots of it. Photography is one of my, uh, seven(?) hobbies. But I have no idea where the moon would be right now....

Atlanta, GA time would be 9:43pm.

Yes, I must say Billie is a happy dog. She loves her life and I love her.

Fricka, sorry you're in caregiver hell right now. I know that's rough, having gone thru it myself.

I went on a nice walk with my little Dalmatian by the river, and now I’m about to make a healthy dinner. This was not me last week nor did I think four days ago I’d want to be sober. I’d be buzzed by now! So scary to think about. 4 days strong 💪🏻

Sounds like some pretty relaxing and nice evenings out there.
I've been feeling lonely lately, so it was really nice to read all of your replies. I just watched American Honey and it reminded me a lot of a time in my life about a decade and some ago. It was painful, and I cried, but still sober.
Thanks all for responding.
