Woah shaken up

So I’ve just found out someone I once knew has died. I didn’t know her well or anything but met her on the club scene back in the day a few times. She’s my age (28) and was found dead in her bed last night. She’s always been a party animal and I don’t think she ever grew out of that. Her last Facebook status was about how hungover she was and how she couldn’t stop being sick, making a joke of how she thought she was going through a near death experience.. and now this. It’s really shaken me up because it takes me back to the time I was suffering from intense alcohol withdrawal and pacing the room all night. I was scared to close my eyes and go to sleep because I honestly believed I wouldn’t wake up if I did. I even started writing a letter to my loved ones to find.

No one knows what caused her death yet for sure.
I feel sick though and just so sorry for her loved ones - this is just so close to home and I feel like that could’ve been me.

So many emotions right now..

Thanks. I don’t feel as though I deserve condolences as I barely knew her but it just puts a lot in perspective. Just goes to show you never know when your time is up.

We took our dog to the vet last week, called a couple days later to confirm next appointment and guy/vet had died! Wasn't even 40. Craziness.

That is a good reminder that we are never guaranteed a tomorrow.
Makes me not want to waste this day on booze.

Wow that really is no age. It just goes to show that life is so fragile. Unrelated but I work in the Veterinary profession and the rate of suicide is quite high..

Same Chloe. I have spent all day feeling so extremely grateful to be alive and for everything I have. What is the point in wasting life drowning in alcohol and anaesthetised!

The idea of death or anything absolutely terrifies me.. and to think I very nearly killed myself with my drinking.
