Day 32

The first 30 are always the hardest but I got through it and thankfully left that drunken mess in the dust. Sober life for me is always much different than drunk life. Drunk life means constant anxiety, arrested development, chaos, problems etc. Its hard to break free of just getting drunk and forgetting everything because it means you have to own up. I think that's why early sobriety can be so hard.

Next stop 60 days! Thank you everyone for the posts and the support!

Yes, early recovery is so hard because it means coming to terms with all the stuff and messes and it can be daunting. I'm so glad you got through the first month, and Day 32 is fantastic!

Congrats. Keep up the good work. I am currently finding the hardest part is filling the space that I would drink in. I’ve done it before but I seemed to have forgotten! Any tips?!

Hard to give any tips as I've been struggling with boredom as well, there are huge blocks of time now to fill in that use to be taken by drinking, sleeping and hangover recovery. What I've done is use this opportunity to rebuild everything as for the past 3 years I've done nothing to grow and became very stagnant.

I am interviewing for new jobs in another town I would like to move to and have been planning said move as well. I want a new job, new place, new town - a new chapter , so planning and preparing for that has been what I've been up to.
