Day 5

Hey all. Today I got back from detoxing at my dad's (and even slept relatively well after the first night), and just now got back from an AA meeting. It was good, and I even surprised myself by sharing. I'm a little apprehensive being in my house again, especially as my room's next to a somewhat social lounge. But I won't drink tonight, that I can say.

Hopefully this is the start of something good.

Good to see you and sober. Is the house youre living in going to be an obstacle for you though?

Could be the start of something great. Check in here should there by any thought of picking up the poison.

Congrats on Day 5.

Well done! As a serial relapse myself, I haven't quite figured out how to stay sober. At least, haven't been able to make it one year. Environment is one factor you may want to consider. If you have drinkers as roommates, it could be a problem.

To be honest they're not even big drinkers, they just like to stay up late. They're fairly reasonable a lot of the time. I think it could be okay, I was just so quick to use it as an excuse to drink before.
