Keeping it simple is a good idea press. And I would also add "don't drink no matter what" to your list of things to do! And keep posting ;-)

Your keeping it simple agenda /stance is probably a good idea. My suggesion of adding "don't drink" was in response to the thoughts I had when reading your list.

Like Scott though , I should have added "no matter what". Your suggestions seem focused on dampening the urge and consequently if you fail to engage either drinking seems to be the implied course, simply adding the 'don't drink' proviso sures up your course , even if by happenstance you fail to engage the other two steps of your plan.

Without the proviso , your OP is an AV approved plan, given the tacit implication that not having /following the 'plan' will result in a 'relapse'.
Adding, consciously and purposefully, the addendum' Don't Drink No matter what ' will cause you to see/feel the disapproval of the AV for such an addendum and that consequently will show you how right you are to add it.

Taking Naltrexone was key for me early on, it helped a lot with cravings. Great job on day 5

I'm back. Trying to have some humility. I realize I just want to be different. I really am so so special. Oh you little people need to do these sweet meetings and sentimental steps. I realize I think I'm more important than that. I need to say this to myself every minute and every day so I'll say it right here right now: I am an alcoholic. That means I'm both awesome and need a lot of help. So maybe I'll do the simple thing today and go to a meeting.

When I removed my "ego" sobriety was easier. Being humble is huge and knowing I am a HUMAN and I am NEVER going to be perfect and all the flaws and mistakes I have made brought me here today, almost 1.5 years sober.
I tell my son all the time, he is going to fail, he will make mistakes the learning is what we do after them. Try not to repeat the same mistake twice and grow to be better.
