Hi beloved family at SR.

I just wanted to share with you that on the 14/2/19 I achieved 7 years of sobriety.

For 7 years I have not allowed alcohol to make me feel wretched, like a failure, unhappy, worried, sad, lonely or scared.
While life has not always run smoothly, I am happy to say that alcohol has not been the root of any of my problems.


Its slightly tinged with sadness as my partner was admitted for detox today. Actually tinged with sadness is probably not the right description. Its tinged with seriousness - because I have seen what happens when someone does not 'get it' despite rehab stays in the past.

I am glad i 'got it' 7 years ago.
So glad.

Dee you are still my most favourite SR friend.
I know its not nice to admit you have favourites, but I can't help it!!!
