Day 9!

Hey beautiful people! I’ve got to day 9 and got through the weekend phew!!! The longest I’ve managed without a drink before now is 3 and half days.
I’ve been waiting to wake up feeling better and up until now I have actually felt worse than with a hangover...well that was until today, today I am smiling at everything - even driving to the dentist this morning - smiling because my appointment was at 8.30am and I was up at 6.45 not feeling like shite and worried I’d be stinking of booze. I now have shiny teeth and doggie and I have been for a blustery walk on a beautiful beach and all before 10am - who’d have known!!!
That bloody voice is still nagging and I’ve got social things coming up that are freaking me out but I’m trying not to look too far forward and trying to be kind to myself - if I get through today that’ll be another day I can be v proud of. Thank you everyone for all your lovelyness and support xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Can you get out of the social thing???
Putting pressure on yourself at this early stage may make you cave......
Wishing much love n your journey 💖🙏

Nice post, well done! I had quite a bit of struggle during that first month, it was mostly trying to stay on an even keel emotionally.

That walk sounds like a great tool. Walks always clear my head.
