Those 2 minutes

when your lying in bed and just about to turn off the lights and you reflect on another sober day , Those are the 2 minutes you know in your heart and soul you've made the right decision to stop drinking, however bad or good or long your day was , you v made it through one more day.

Yes! So much better than two minutes of regret and shame no matter how difficult the day.

Great post, Kdop! :)

The only thing better than those 2 minutes are the 2 minutes when you wake up after a full nights sleep, not hungover, not wondering what you did last night, not worried about anything! Then getting up to make that delicious cup of coffee and enjoying the morning.

I am highly spoiled from getting used to waking up sober (and not still drunk from the night before) and without any hangover.

Thanks for reminding me to carry a spirit of gratitude with me as I drift off to sleep, sometimes with Mayfield, my 27 lb. Maine coon cat on my chest.

Wonderful observation, Kid. :) Thank you for sharing your enlightenment. It means so much.

Treuer words.... although i stretch it to 5 min of self reflection. It's a wonderful feeling.

LOVE THIS!

I especially love the minutes in the morning when you wake up and realize you didn't drink the day/night before. Whew.

It truly never gets old. Going to bed sober will always be a huge personal victory.

Great post.
I especially like Monday mornings.
It’s like jumping under the warm shower after being in the cold.
