Cravings stepped up

Day 6 no booze and 5 smoke free. Been a fairly straightforward week with minimal cravings really. Except today. Today my addict voice has upped the ante. Im restless, constantly triggered, negotiatimg with myself and looking for excuses to smoke or drink. Its expected really as Im a binger so often go 2-6 days with no booze but rarely longet than that so my body / mind is expecting its fix.
just needed to post to get it off my chest. Ugh i hate this bit.

It's just a thought. It will pass if you don't argue with it or beat yourself for just thinking about it. That's going to happen for a while, the thoughts.

"Yeah, thanks brain. You can move on now."

And ten long slow deep breaths...*poof*

Resist the cravings. They are just thoughts and don't have to be acted upon. The more you say no, the easier it gets to stay sober.

Awkward,

That is the real brain damage done to us by booze.

I am sure it is irreversible, but i am sort of used to it.

I was craving a bit on the way home from work. I just ate and now i feel no real crave.

It has taken this long to feel this good.

The only way out for me has been to suffer.

Being sober is amazing, but it hurts sometimes too.

Thanks
