Day 5 😀
Today ive been to work, which for me, is a good distraction, feeling positive tired and slightly restless, I think, having to do something constantly is wearing me out............
But better than the alternative.............
Today I didn't drink ............
Tomorrow is another new day........
I hope everyone is ok 😀
Much love to all

Your doing great Doris. It does get easier, I am into my 4th month and alcohol is not consuming my mind anymore. I can just relax and enjoy things without feeling like I constantly need to distract myself.
Doris,
If I can quit for 5 days, I can quit forever.
I ate a bunch of sweets in the early days of my sobriety.
They kept me from relapsing but now I am working to lower my need for sweets.
Guess I over did it this holiday season.
Reducing sweets feels a lot like being hung over.
Exercise, mixed it up, helped me stay clean too. I needed to get my body back to producing normal levels of natural opiates.....e.g. dopamine, adrenaline, endorphins.
Thanks.

Nice going on 5 days. Just make sure you are taking care of yourself. It's great you are staying busy, but make sure you put in some time to relax, eat well and get enough sleep. I think a healthy life requires balance. Sometimes we have to make ourselves take care of ourselves if that makes sense. John
