Ok. I知 ready.

Thank you for putting up with all my feeble day 1 posts and attempts to remain sober. Nothing changes if nothing changes. So I知 doing things differently. My plan:
1. Call my old sponsor and confess everything
2. Go to meeting tomorrow and Wednesday (hopefully with sponsor)
3. Continue with meetings and working the steps
4. Finish and reread This Naked Mind, until it sticks
5. Post on here as often as I am able
6. I joined the January 2019 class
7. Continue working out and eating well
8. Practice gratitude
9. Pray pray pray
10. Spend quality time with my family

im very excited for this journey. I had 18 months recently and so badly want that again

something you could do tonight, which i think would be very wise:
get yer nose into the BB- particularly the chapters, "more about alcoholism" and "there is a solution."
and maybe change this
I had 18 months recently and so badly want that again
to something like
i had 18 months recently and want what i had and MORE.

Oh it'll give back. It just won't be anything you want.

I wouldn't sweat/delay your #1 too much and make the call. I was always worried about what some AA folks/friends(I never used a sponser) would 'think/say' about my prior night(s) at the bar, but they already knew because..well..they'd been there before.

#'s 2, 5 and 6 where the key for me to get, and stay, sober.

Ok. End of a very long, day 1. Anxiety is an issue. Still don稚 feel well. And I am very upset and ashamed with something I did last night. It wasn稚 like me, and I知 deeply regretful.

Well..if it makes you feel any better, I did 'something' last weekend stone cold sober(2'ish years sober) and the following 2days I felt like crap, as it was something I did a lot when drinking...but... it was I that made the decisions I made(even sober), so it's was on me to 'eat it'..it's done and in the past..learn from your feelings and move on,when you can, from it.

Start of day 2. I知 EXHAUSTED. If my kids would let me I could sleep till noon easily. But I致e been pouring poison into me for the last 6 ish months so I知 bound to feel this way. I知 so glad I知 talking to abunch of people who get it. Hopefully I can get a nap in today. Things I知 grateful for:
-my kids
-a fresh start
-sober nights of sleep I get to look forward to

ya I can easily blame it on the alcohol. But I decided to drink on the first place should have just gone to bed.
