Day 1 Back to AA
Binged on Sunday after shear boredom. Was not a severe binge and I did make it to work but was full of remorse guilt and anger.
Phonedbtge AA helpline early hours of the morning someone was supposed to call me today but they did not get back to me.
I have been to an A.A. meeting tonight I have just got back from it.
i am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have decided to vomit to A.A. for 6 months and really try hard to make it work for me.
I wish you all well.

I'm not alcoholic, take what you like and leave the rest. When I started letting the 12 step program work me, things changed. Actions. Me showing up in new ways. Service positions. Attending business meetings.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Did you get some phone numbers to call when you were there? If not get some so you can call someone when you feel like having a drink. or log on here, there are people online 24/7 that will be happy to talk with you virtually.
Bottom line, though - AA doesn't "work for you". You have to do the work yourself.
higher call, getting in the habit of posting here on SR every day would go a long way to your stabilizing and soberizing! pick a time each day, come here, rattle off a line or two, even if it's just, day 3, still sober!!!! and by all means, if you start to get twitchy, come here FIRST.
good job on calling the hotline. sorry, no one got back to you yet. that can seem disappointing. remember tho, you DID use a tool, you DID reach out. that's the point.

Glad to see you giving it a go HC. The work is hard but the rewards are worth it.
Remember how sick and tired of this cycle you are before you decide to drink. Come here first. Ask for help. Or just post how you're feeling. Just start taking action.
Lots of support here for sure.

I open your thread knowing "I binged..." will be in the first couple sentences. I say this as someone who was no better at getting sober for a long time as well. But I was also told, and finally listened - post before you drink next time.
Good job on getting back on the horse. Keep it moving.
