Day 1...Ready to dig deep and become SOBER

Woke up all night with night sweats, shakes and anxiety. Capped it off with a helluva a nightmare but was comforted by having my fiancee there and sharing with her all the research I've done on SR so far.

Today (Day 2) we started off with a coffee date, hit the town for Vietnamese food a brisk walk at an awesome park, then Barns and Noble. Now a little SR, a documentary and some nighttime tea. I know the sweats and anxiety are coming in my sleep and I'm already tired from last night but can weather the storm. Crushing DAY with my person makes it easy to fight and utilize all the sources SR provides. More self help and exploration coming tomorrow!

Those night sweats only lasted me a few,maybe 3?, nights..One huge thing for me was after like 3-4 days, I'd start to physically feel 'better' and think "ok...I can just have a couple like most 'normal' people."..<-- that's utter BS, so be on guard for that feeling of "maybe one..?". It may not get ya at first,but it won't be long before you're right back to "WTF happened?"..

Crushed Day 3! The church message was one that hit me hard! Night sweats but not as bad. Day 3 on Caffeine too...my body is equalizing well. I'm involved in lots of self help and an amazing fiancee'. I feel great...when i have negative thoughts i get on here but even slow deep breathing relaxes me. I'm on a liver cleanse, kudzu (natural root that curves cravings), and diet and exercise. I'm hungry all the time and eat alot more but nothing exercise can't fix unlike a damaged liver!

Best advise I can give is to eat lots of good food, stay hydrated, stay busy and try and rest when you need it. Come to SR every 20 min and read stories. Reading relapse stories is always a great reminder.

Shakes gone! Sleep improving each night! How did I get to Day 5 so fast! I stopped caffeine as well. I get lethargic in the evenings but it will pass. Eating , working out, this forum, church, exercise, mindfulness and self help are ALL keys to my success!

Here it is...Day 7! Drinking Keto Coffee, Working Out, Eating Regularly and feel great! None of the financial, job, or other stresses are gone but I feel renewed! Excited for UFC Fights and Superbowl this weekend with ZERO booze. Hardly even find myself thinking of it. My body and mind feel to good to mess it up. Oh and based on my Sobriety App I've saved $120 in 7-days not drinking. Man if that isn't eye opening! Thank you guys!
