Morning, weekenders.
Some solid sobriety plans here - good job, guys!
Thank you for the support on my job hunting.
Captain - I don't use agencies for job hunting now. I got some jobs through agencies in the past and it's was ok for back then, but now I prefer to do it on my own. Internet made it much easier.
Now I need more coffee and to come up with a plan of actions.
I have to remind myself that a good plan implemented today is better than a perfect plan implemented next week.
And procrastination is a deadly sin (don't remember who said this).
See you later.
Have a good day, weekenders.

Welcome to Weekenders Chaz22!.
That's a good list erm listae. I had fish myself yesterday (Sea Bass)
Good luck with the job hunting MidnightBlue, as CaptainHaddock mentioned maybe you could put your name down at a couple of employment agencies.

Morning everybody. I hope everyone is feeling nice and relaxed for this saturday; intoxicants aren't needed to relax. Put your feet up instead
No idea what my plans are today. Hit the gym and boxing classes everyday this week so I think a rest would be wise today; i was meant to be working today but my shift fell through last night.
If I were to be unemployed again I would definitrly go through agencies; my current employet is an agency and he is the best and most caring manager I have worked under.

Get to it MB! No dilly dallying around. The whip’s cracking from Australia!
Or you could do a barista course in preparation for our coffee shop. With some yummy caramel lattes
I’m avoiding all Australia Day festivities. All the people I know that invited me out to barbecues are hell bent on getting plastered as quickly as possible. I can hear my neighbours whooping it up from here, they’ve been at it all day, getting louder and drunker..... I just ate a huge bowl of icecream. But at least I won’t be hungover tomorrow

Hi guener.
Aussie Open ladies final starts in half an hour. My support for a win is on Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic. She’s made an amazing comeback considering the knife attack at her home a couple of years ago almost took her away from the game for good. Besides for that, I support her for what seems to be complete lack of attitude and pretentiousness, which is quite refreshing.
For those not familiar, see my temporary avatar showing her off-court, looking slightly more glamorous (or at least I hope to pull that one off in a minute, as I am still not managing to resize pics for conventional attachment).

Lol thanks Captain
Do the 5 chocolate biscuits I ate after the icecream add up to the equivalent of a tub? Uggghh I feel like a slug lol, but at least I’m going to wake up sober, fresh and headache-free tomorrow, unlike most Aussies I know...
Yep I’m toying with the barista idea MB, I love good coffee and it seems to be an art to make amazing coffees, so it might be a fun way to earn some money perhaps... There are lots of little mobile coffee vans in Australia, some people move around with them and only work when they choose to (like the morning pre-work rush, and morning tea time) or at popular picnic spots on weekends. Sounds like a freestyle kinda way to make a living.... just one of my current ideas

I would like to join please. Never posted in a weekender thread before. 87 days sober and hoping for many more.
Lots of walking this weekend, gotta keep busy else my pesky AV gets extremely troublesome.

Struggling a little today.
I don't want to smoke or drink again and I'm not tempted.... but it's so quiet and boring. I've hit the gym everyday for the last 5 days and my body is telling me to rest; I ditched all my friends because they are bad influences and it's cold outside. I would go for a drive but losing my work this weekend has set me back £450 that I needed so many is extremely tight.
I realize the reason why I was always intoxicated was to make the boring things entertaining. Not justifying btw; just an introspection.

We live in the age when entertainment is idolized and boredom is stigmatized.
Try to enjoy the boredom, look at this as being free from addiction to the need to be entertained or "busy" non-stop.
Maybe, read a book, watch the snow falling without feeling guilty. Sometimes all we need to get answers to tough questions is some deep silence.
Great introspection, Taooo.
