It's always good to see you post, because we're on the same day of sobriety, and it just makes me feel strong. I couldn't agree more with what you wrote, especially:

"Ironic that when I decided to quit drinking, my biggest fear was missing out!"

Isn't that the truth? I was so fearful of a sober boring life, that I kept living a drunk boring life. I'm very thankful I took the risk, and discovered how wrong I was.

Thank you. What a wonderful post. I have often thought this as well but my analagy has not been as apt. Amazing.

I've spent a lot of time on the forum for the first time today. This is my official Day 1 and already hearing all these success stories rings true and has me very excited to put this demon away period.
