FRI-NALLY!

Lets do this Weekend sober.

MidnightBlue, hope you feel better quickly; take care of yourself.

Sao and MantaLady, hope next week turns out to be much better for you.

Dragon, enjoy that table saw.

Well done, OliveDog; one week is on the horizon.

Welcome, WaterOx.

Lots of love to all.

Haha I love the cat Andy, I with for that kind of serenity whenever my foundations feel like they’re crumbling

Welcome to the newcomers, this is a great place for support.
Hi everyone

Hope you get some me-time in amongst that work Manta. Good on you for standing up for no more weekends on Monday! Everyone needs downtime.

Hope the anti-Saoutchik conspiracy is thwarted very quickly Sao

Sat morning here and I have a leisurely day ahead, starting with patting the cat apparently because he won’t leave me alone and meows like mad when I’m not patting him. Who’s in charge here? The cat of course

I posted in the Different Path thread - Kathys son let me know she passed on this morning US time.

She will always be a part of SR, through her posts and in the memories of her friends here.

Thanks for letting us know Dee. Whilst I knew it was coming it still a shock to read that. I am blessed to have met her albeit not in person but she was a big support. Kathy made me want to be a better person. x

What a choker. Gilmer (Kathy) was ever present on this thread when I joined SR four years ago and was always full of warmth and humanity. She never once considered drinking through her illness, that's got to say something to the rest of us hasn't it?

RIP GILMER

Gilmer was the best, always helping people here, so full of joy and positivity. Very sad news.

Kathy was a strong Catholic, and Heaven will be lucky to have her on board. Remember all her studying when she was learning Hebrew in her schooling?

Rest in eternal peace with Jesus, Kathy.

Hugs all around.

Back home after a gig tonight. During the show I realised something.

I have seen this band before, but for every other time I have been drinking. Even on one occasion, I had a ticket and missed them because I was too drunk to get to the venue.

Not tonight. I sat and listened to every single song they performed, taking in each word and appreciating the moment, no alcohol needed and I loved it.

Life truly is better sober.

Very sad about Gilmer.
RIP Kathy.

I wonder if Trach was informed or is it possible to let Trach know. They were close...
