U.K. TV - Documentary on Alcohol Addiction on now! Channel 5 are showing a documentary about people’s experience with alcoholism for anyone that is interested in watching. It started at 10pm but if you have +1 you can catch it from the beginning. |
I am watching it and seriously thinking of posting back on SR 😕😕 |
Because I need to help myself now.... |
Worth a watch? Might watch it if it's on catchup tomorrow.... |
It was quite sad and uncomfortable, just people telling their stories. I thought it was helpful to watch anyhow. x |
I found that extremely powerful and helpful. Thank you. |
It was very interesting to watch. I'm glad I'm still back in the UK, as it meant I randomly caught it while flicking through channels in the hotel. I watched with my husband who is a normal sensible drinker. He found it very powerful viewing and now understands why I gave up alcohol. He's always contested me having a problem, but I told him I decided to quit before the problem progressed to the level of those on the show which he now understands. |
i watched it kinda got to thinking i must try harder with my recovery really it an eye opener you can die from this illness there is no going back after death its sad the guy at the end is still drinking he is in my thoughts and prayers it shows you how bad it can get av never found my rock bottom but i wouldn't like to experience that |

I watched it too and it was very powerful. Some very clear examples of the downward spiral of alcohol addiction. It also showed what can be achieved through recovery e.g. the guy that was drinking 1000 units a week had made a full recovery. |
