Almost three years

Sorry to start a thread, but every time I'm here, I don't log in.
In June, it will be three years. Can't believe it. Still "miss" it and still have dreams that I have a "day off" where I can drink. Biggest help is playing the tape to the end.

Nice!

Playing the tape is huge for me too. I do it in so many parts of my life now, too.

AWESOME - don’t give alcohol the luxury of missing it .

Oh, bexxed, you busted me I failed to play the tape forward with my step son last night and ugh. Not only did I hurt his feelings but I knew I shouldn't have taken the tack I did.

Congrats on 3 yrs, notgonnastoptry!

I wish it was something more laudable. I just didn't want to die and I did almost die twice. I haven't found recovery groups, etc., to be helpful. Also don't have family support (husband was super judgmental about it and didn't notice and then didn't help--mostly blamed). But, here I am!
