Today so far I have...

Got up early and felt refreshed.
Went to town and ran several errands.
Did a 4K run, then 8K on my bike.
Cooked up tasty vegetarian food for the weekend.
Sewed labels into my child's gym kit.
Swept my garden.

On an average day a couple of weeks ago I would probably have downed half a bottle of gin by now and not achieved anything else of value.

Love reading on SR; I can feel my life slowly changing again already now I'm AF.

But not getting complacent, taking one hour at a time, and being grateful for what I have achieved.

Thank you everyone for making SR a wonderfully supportive place.

Excellent, carpetcleaner! Life is so much better without spending it drunk, hungover and utterly depressed. I love SR and it has been a vital part of my sober plan. With the help of everyone here I have been sober for 3 years on Dec 23. It's good to not be complacent--I once had 15 years of sobriety but thought I could handle it--needless to say, that was a huge mistake. You can do this and I wish you all the best in this sober New Year!

You are on a roll today! I'm impressed and while I did go out this morning, it wasn't a run or bike ride. It was in a car. I did my yoga workout, but the rest of today will be couch lounging. You've inspired me to at least throw in a load of laundry lol!

Have a great rest of day!

Isn't it wonderful and amazing how much better we feel when we don't drink?

It really is.

I've had over 7 months sober, 6 month stretch, 3 month....felt amazing with each and every one.

Can't let this beast beat me again and put me back in Hell!

Looking forward to the physical benefits too; skin, hair, bright eyes. I look terrible at the moment

All that before 11am - very nicely done, cc.
Why did we ever think it was helping us cope with life? It just makes everything more difficult & steals our joy.
