New milestone today

Today is day 90 without alcohol a milestone I almost didnt reach after pouring myself a drink on christmas day. I looked at that drink for about 2 hours, every time I thought about drinking it I thought about everyone I would let down, chieflt myself, but my family and everyone on here too. Every time I looked at it I felt physicaly sick so in the end I offered it to anyone who wanted it but then poured it down the sink. I am so glad i did. Looking forward to starting 2019 sober and getting to day 100 on 8th of Jan.
I wish everyone on here a happy and sober new year.

Glad you shared the 90 days- awesome! - and the choice to pour the drink, and the choice not to drink it.

I had to learn that it was up to me to make the right choice that kept me sober, and testing myself wasn't worth it.

Keep making the "better" choice to get to that 90+, 100+.....

Congratulations on 90 days rhaf is a huge accomplishment!! What have you been doing to help you in recovery so far?

Just remember to play the tape through if the thought of drinking pops into your mind, you are almost to triple digits, and that is something to celebrate! I am thinking a large piece of chocolate cake.

Congrats on 90 days.
That was a bit of a test to say the least.
You looked the devil straight in the eye.

BIG CAHOONA’S!

Glad you chose the right path.

Wow I am not sure I could actually pour the drink and have it around for 2 hours, that's some battle with the enemy. You conquered it well done you.

I am somehow at 60 days,. it's a difficult journey to say the least!

Good for you. I can't tell you how many beers I poured down the sink. I would buy a whole pack and the next day was so full of regret that I would pour the rest out. Good job thinking about it and making the right decision. I never regretted not drinking, only drinking.
