. My dad is a jack of all trades with instruments especially stringed instruments. He likes music so much I’m actually named after an instrument (the mandolin) 😂😂His
newest thing is cigar box guitars. Check them out on YouTube, they make a really great sound and if you get your hands in one they’re pretty easy and fun to play.

Dragon! Such a lovely Auld Lang Syne...the best ever. Thanks for that. I wish I was in Hawaii...which is what the ukulele reminds me of.
It's not raining! I think. It's still dark o'clock. However the river is flying by my window after all the rain we've had. Whoooooosh. Even the ducks have found calmer waters somewhere.
No drinking for me today or any day. Holidays almost over. Love sober Sundays.

My plans: Put together a ‘release’ package for my daughter—coat,pants, underwear, socks,gloves. Leaving tomorrow (New Years eve)with ex husband to see her in prison in Duluth. She will be released to the streets who knows when in the next couple weeks. She is a meth, coke and alcohol addict with a brain injury.😞😰.
So glad to be off work and ex is traveling with me . AV voice level is pretty low considering my plans, so lucky there.

This poem helped/helps me often when my pet rabbit passed nearly five years ago. He was like a little dog-would sit on the couch with us, run around the apartment when we were home and was litter box trained.
They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.

I’m so sorry petals! Losing a pet is losing a member of the family. Eat all the chocolate you need.

My heart goes out to you petals, I lost my boy cat of 21 years a few months ago so I understand how tough it is. Big hug from me xx

Today I have been listening to recovery podcasts and finally getting through the massive pile of clothes in my bedroom so can nearly see the whole floor! Also cleaned out the fridge and done a few other sorting type jobs today, feel much better for doing rather than procrastinating!

New Year - New Start
It's good just to read these stories and posts. This is my first step to getting sober AGAIN... I've been down this road so many times, but never with this kind of resolve. I've always kidded myself I can Just Have One...but I can't, I know that now. I want to go into 2019 a Non-Drinker and get my precious life back on track...I have SO much to loose but so much to live for. <3
