i always felt like kurt knew how i was feeling even if i didn't even though he is dead. maybe because he was an addict too.
today is a bad day. 3 bottles of wine. all this year i've been ok and its just crept up on me because its christmas.
there isn't even any point to this post either, just to say its happened. my alcoholic dad is visiting me on the 27th, i don't know how to feel about it, he has never shown any care all my life and he doesn't know about my trouble with alcohol either. there is only 15 years between us so i feel like we are closer in more ways than one too.
wish i could have a proper conversation about it all with him but i know i never will.
lets hope the years coming have something to smile about

I amended your title to make clear you're referring to the song.

Kurt was a great musical talent but not so much a great life role model.

He and I were born in the same year and as I get older I always think he missed out on a lot of the good stuff if only he could have gotten things together.

You have that chance too Owl. If you want out of the drinking and shame merry go round, you can stop, you can ask for help - you can change things.

I hope you decide to change your life today :)

Everything seems worse when you're drinking. :( If you stop drinking, things might get better, at the very least, you'll be able to handle it.

I stopped drinking three years ago after way too many years using alcohol as a crutch. I can promise you that life is so much better sober. In the past theee years Life had thrown some really tough things at me, but I've gotten through them, and cannot imagine going back to that.

Can you amend the Title entirely. I find "rape me" to be very offensive and misdirected. Seems like the writer wanted to catch our attention and she or he surely did. I am a big Nirvana fan, but just see "rape me" in a title makes me cringe. Were entering a new year, let's show more positivism.
