Congrats LG🤗😍

I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts and your wonderful skill of conveying your struggles which are so common to all of us, and also your successes.

I’m coming up on my seven months soon and I am making some changes with regard to my friendships and my acquaintances. I just broke up with my ABF, and even though that was not a healthy relationship, I am still very sad. I’m also in the middle of looking to relocate 1000 miles south or 1000 miles west.

So I look forward to being in your position where most of the people that know me well know me as the sober person.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, that it really does feel good to be the responsible person, the person who remembers, the person who thinks with a clear mind ——is a very powerful feeling.

"It's a new role - being the reliable, competent and in control one. Pretty awesome actually. "

I get the same buzz.

I love feeling good, clear and 100% present....all the time. Just had minor surgery and LOATHED being on the pain pills. They were needed, and prescribed, but aside from opiates never being my thing, I hated being taken out of now.

Just adding to your being the sober one. To me sobriety is also a bit magical, even at over a year and a half, the uptick and novelty has not worn off.

Always love your posts LG. Congrats.
