Broken up 7 year relationship
Sobermich - I heard something on a radio talk show about relationships the other day. It was about how awful we feel when a breakup happens, especially a long-term relationship.
The speaker, a renowned psychologist, was speaking of the despair we feel when this happens and we think that things will never be okay. She said to say the following out loud to yourself 3 times: "Ehh. I feel lousy now, but I will be okay". For some reason, she maintained that it must be said out loud and said 3 times.
I feel for you. It's hard. Hang in there and be good to yourself.
