Live in the moment

The secret to feeling serene and peaceful in sobriety in my experience. When my mind wanders into the future projecting about outcomes that probably won’t actually happen or into the past about things that cannot be changed I feel dis-ease.

Grateful to be sober, grateful to be an alcoholic.

I also find it helpful to try to be focused on the present instead of dwelling on the past or projecting what lies too far ahead of me. Being "present" helps me with my anxiety that I may be experiencing, to address what may be causing feeling uneasy or worried, and to put aside my anxiety until another time to think about it more clearly if I need to do that works for me. I also know that if I am feeling unresolved distress that there are other places I can go, including SR, to put it out there for feedback or help.
