Guess Who’s Back, Back Again? Finally after asking for help from August I got a Community Hospital Alcohol Detox last week and am 9 days sober... This is after drinking 2-3 bottles of wine a night for 18 months... I’ve now been to 2 AA meetings, 2 Addaction meetings; a private counselling session already this week and I intend reaching out as much as possible... Thank God for me reaching this point... Best of luck to all still trying... |

Keep at it! For me, once I got past the insurmountable 'wall' that got knocked down with a few AA meetings(court ordered) and constant posting/reading on here, I was able to get past the 'false thinking'. It's hard work at first,but gets easier with minutes/days/months DOC free. Owning my stuff/reality is what set me free. |

We're glad you're here with us, FF. I'm especially glad that you're heading out to a meeting. They, and the 12 steps, have certainly helped me get and stay sober when nothing else would. |

Yes why not? I got sober on 19th November but I’m happy to join December group tmrw, new month, new me!!! Blew 2 tyres on my car today but no alcohol, just hot chocolate and £170 bill, nothing to drink over! night all xx |
