Hi alex same really very anxious about everything but feel bit better physically, going to get myself back to work tomorrow and try to look positive to new future, without the poison

That's a good plan the anxiety should die down the next couple of weeks as long as we stay away from drinking but beating ourselves up wont help either..good luck

Congrats on Day 1.

Jumping in - Good job making the decision. I am new here but have fought the fight before, won for bit over a year, slipped and have fought. Have decided to not slip this time. This looks like a great place to start. Day 2 here. Still some aches and pains, and always scary. I don't want to go thru the first few days again. Joining that November class that was mentioned.

Alex, Riker, and Tinkerbeau, welcome and welcome back. Supporting each other sounds like a great idea. The three of you should also join the November class, and maybe the December one when it starts up, Infound the monthly class gone really helpful in my first year of sobriety.

Another good thread is the 24 hour thread, you can check in there each day.

The anxiety will definitely lessen after some sober time. I have found exercise, particularly going for walks outdoors, and mindfulness very helpful for anxiety.
