just checking on - 11months sober!
hello,
I used to be a full time lurker and occasional poster here.
People appear and disappear here all the time, sometimes for good reasons sometimes not so good.
The good news is i do not drink anymore, i have been sober for nearly a year now and can report it is possible!
My life revolved around alcohol, i was completely addicted.
To everyone out there, keep going your doing great, do not drink!
However you manage that is down to your personal situation.
I have done it alone, well, alone with forums (great stuff on here many thanks to all) and books, and at the moment that is working for me.
Books i can suggest that have helped,
My lush sobriety - Sacha Z Scoblic
The unexpected joy of being sober - Catherine Grey
Dry - Austen Burroughs
Blackout, remembering the things i drank to forget - Sarah Hepola
Freedom from our addictions - Russell Brand
Kick the drink easily - Jason Vale

hi great post.. congratulations on your sobriety I to am 11 months and I can't believe the change within me ..I love love love reading those books ..
