Well done kaily, another nail in the beasts coffin.
Stay close to SR it helps to vent .
Hope today is a better one for you.
I tried in my early days to build at least one extra positive thing per day. It took a while but slowly good things started to come my way. Little glimmers of hope to spur me on.

Hope the nhs gets to you soon.
You’re doing the right thing not drinking, it’s not worth putting of till another day to stop.
Keep going only 2 days for 3 weeks .
9 days for a month. And soon enough you will be free to live a fulfilling life.

Kaily, you are stronger than you know! Please keep reminding yourself of your strength and how far you’ve come. You are never alone. You are surrounded by support. I am sorry that you have not yet been able to get help for your PTSD. While you continue to wait, please be kind to yourself and be patient.

Drinking would give you temporary relief and immediate gratification, but it would just continue the cycle of alcoholism and worsen the problem. There is help out there. When I was in the darkest place a few years ago, I had given up hope. I also had a long wait to find help for my unique life challenges. I felt so alone and there was no one I could relate to. I wish I had known about SR.

There is no limit to how much you can reach out here at SR for support and to feel connected to others. Are there yoga or meditation classes in your area? This helped me a lot. Not just the practice of mindfulness in general, but the classes were a way to feel connected.

There are some great online meditation apps too. I use Insight Timer and Headspace. You can also search Recovery or Twelve Steps on YouTube for some good ones.

Hugs.
