Am I withdrawing?
I have a drinking problem for the past 4 years but haven't drank every day. But recently it has got a lot worse and I managed to drink a whole bottle of 70cl vodka yesterday, and wasn't sick. But I've been shaking all day, and my anxiety is through the roof, I'm getting panic attacks and feel a sense of impending doom, feel hot and then cold, feel nausea. My voice is even shaking. This is the first time it's ever been this bad. Is this withdrawal? Is this dangerous?
Welcome, and I'm glad you found us.
The best thing to do, if you're concerned, is to talk to your dr or go to an ER. It does sound like withdrawals, and they can be unpredictable. They will also generally get worse, each time you go through stopping drinking.

Yes.
Alcohol withdrawal is very, very serious. I always sought medical detox.
You will feel better there, the anxiety is awful. Hang in there and get some help. Doing good reaching out here. This site is amazing.

In my teens I was in a hospital for a knee operation. I was in a ward with like 6 other guys. One guy came in with a broken leg, but was going through withdrawal. It was surreal watching him go through the process. Of course no one gets hospitalized for a broken leg, but it's sometimes necessary for alcohol detox, which can be dangerous.
You need to quit drinking for good. It's time to leave the party. You are headed down a dark path to a place you don't want to be.
