hi, i survived but i dont live

So glad I stumbled across this website!! I really needed it...I isolate myself more than I should..this early in my recovery people get on my nerves..

Just not drinking was had enough for me to start with but gradually I moved on to building a sober life I loved - give it a little time

I don't think being alone is necessarily a bad thing. I know it is something people say is bad - but maybe it's just bad for them (?)

I prefer spending quite a lot of time alone, I'm an only child and it's my default happy place.

I guess if you feel bad about being alone then that's a different story, but don't let others tell you it is.

I figure there are plenty of people out there if I want to be with them. I remember how raw and emotionally vulnerable I was in early sobriety, so it makes sense to me to want to lay low for a while!
