Day 2

Last night I couldnt sleep. Guess my body was craving the alcohol. This morning im a little groggy but overall okay. I had a decent breakfast, but cant wait to get back home to my bed. The first 7 days is the hardest for me.

Congrats on Day2 Toni. Insomnia is certainly a common side effect of withdrawals, glad to hear you are doing OK so far.

The first week is definitely the hardest for me too. Insomnia, fatigue, irritability and the urge to drink, particularly in the evenings. A doctor once told me that insomnia won't kill you, but drinking definitely can and will.

Take care of yourself, be vigilant for the AV, and don't drink.

Good job on two days.
Four days was always the killer for me. Felt better, hangover gone and 'hey' I can drink again.
I would recommend taking it day by day, one day at a time. as you seem to be doing.
I couldn't handle thinking about a week when I was actively trying to quit at first. But one day I could handle.
They add up.

So, best to you. And I hope you keep posting.
