Help is all around
With the current situation with my DUI and my kids being taken from me I have fallen into a deep depression. I am stressed and anxious all of the time, my skin is a nightmare, I am losing weight every day.
And you know what? People have noticed. But not people who know me and I have a relationship with. Near strangers. A lovely woman who used to clean my house when I had a job and could afford it has come by and cleaned my house and ironed my clothes for free. My neighbours across the street have offered me meals. At first I was too shy and embarrassed to accept but finally I did. They bring me by a plate of food for lunch and dinner and pray with me each time.

I'm so sorry you are suffering and have such challenges at the moment. Your strength and resilience is amazing . I hope you get your children back very soon.

I really admire your fortitude. So nice to hear about good people in the world in these times!
I hope you will take good care of yourself for when those babies come home! I too have lost custody of my child and in all honesty I dont think its going to change until she goes to uni. Even then she coukd chose to go anywhere...but I have to be strong and healthy for her. Someday for my grandchildren. What an exciting thought! So much at thr end of this rainbow. Yes, it's hard some days but I know my story ends riddled with hapiness and light. An entiry different perspective than when I was drowning in a drink.
Stay so positive, its inspiring!

This is so amazing. I've heard it said that the opposite of addiction is connection, and it really sounds like when others are reaching out to help...you are reaching back. It sounds like this is a new tool in your aresenal, and an important one.
