Erica0811, I would accept your help. This is day 18 without drinking and it is going ok. This group is my only means of support. I have not joined any other groups such as AA or outpatient rehab. Everyone else in my life either does not know, or does not seem to care, that I quit drinking.

They don't seem to care because not drinking is no big deal to them, for us it's not that simple. You can't really fault them for that.

Themechanic, thank you for your reply. I dont mean to fault anybody and it's not their problem anyway, its mine, I realize that. I will continue to come to this site for support, it helps to have people to talk to.
