Day 9

Hi all , so I’ve gone for 9 days sober now. Haven’t been able to completely ditch the cigarette habit but I’m trying. I’m sleeping a lot! Like 10 hours a night, anyone else have this? Also while I was driving to work the other day instead of being sick and hungover I realized I was thinking about other people not focusing on being sick. This led to a few kind small deeds that normally I wouldn’t have thought of doing. Mmm maybe this is what they call a light bulb moment.
Have a great day !

I slept a ton in early sobriety, but now need less sleep than when I was drinking, even "normally."

I would love to sleep 10 hours a night. :) I think it's more common for people to experience insomnia in early recovery. But, listen to your body as you are doing and you'll be fine. I'm glad you're noticing positive changes.

I slept SO MUCH in early recovery, I could sleep for 8 hours and then need a nap! Be sure to take very good care of yourself, allowing as much rest as possible. Congrats on 9 days!
