Morning Weekenders

We ventured on to one of those nude beaches here in France once a bit by accident really. Couldnt really believe I was less pudic than mrs Vman (if you know what I mean )

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good luck TeeJay, Friday is as good a day as any.

Good video Dragon, he can really play. Something to aspire to for sure.

Great to see you Soberwolf, how are you doing?

Thanks for drawing my attention to a new word VMan, I had not heard of pudic before.

Coffee time here. I hope everyone makes it safeky through Friday.

Morning all! Another fine hangover free Saturday morning which is great as I have an angry cat at the moment. He is walking round the house with an angry meow as he wants to go out but the wind and rain is extreme here. When I open the door he sits there with his ears flat as he hates the wind and does an annoyed kinda shouty cat meow at the weather haha. Day 3 of the juice fast and have to say that every juice I have made on the plan so far is really really tasty which I am a wee bit surprised by. I am hungry though and could kill for some crusty bread and butter!

Have a super sober Saturday peeps! xx

Good Morning everyone. All this talk of roasted garlic, juice fasts, ice cream, etc has me motivated to get to the grocery store later today and do some serious meal prep for the week. It's a far healther option too. A diet of protein bars and cheddar cheese popcorn can only sustain one for so long. LOL!

Does anyone find that they get a bit depressed on Friday nights? I seem to have a really rough time around 5-6pm. Not sure if it's knowing I am facing another lonely weekend because work is now done for a couple days or what the heck it is. It doesn't last long, kind of like those pesky alcohol urges or cravings. The therapist I am seeing says I need to face being alone head on and should not just try to keep busy to avoid feeling the feelings. I guess that makes sense.

I hope you all have a great Saturday and I'll check in later.

Manta, my cat yells at the world every morning. She doesn't even go out anywhere except the deck. It's getting too cold for that.

Sober Saturday morning is always a joy. I get to have a big breakfast with steak, omelet, toast, and sweet potato jojos (big chunks, tossed in EVOO and roasted.) MMmmm. Thank you, it does sound good. Maybe I'll remember to take a picture before I devour it. No promises.

I've taken a four mile walk every day this week. It is so lovely out in October. Just perfect.

If you're reading this and you drank last night, jump in and post about it. We've all been there. Alcoholism loves secrecy. Talking about it helps bring it into the light where it loses its power.

Sober Weekend, I love you.

Good morning everyone.

I learned a new word from Vman’s post as well. I had to look it up because I didn’t understand, Not sure if I’d feel pudic or not in the same situation. I shall have my Saturday morning cuppa and ponder it all!

New word for me too. Good morning. I think my fever broke last night. feeling a little better than the last two mornings. Thank goodness I don't drink anymore, I can't imagine how much worse I'd be. Even a fever of 102 would not have stopped me in the past. (Medisinal y'know, yea right).

Afternoon, weekenders.

Unreally beautiful October 13 day here.

I keep buying pumpkins to arrange some Halloween-themed art installation)

Dragon, Sao - That's a relief you don't know this word either, I thought it was just me.

Dragon - Get well soon!

To anyone who is struggling with cravings, AV, guilt or any other life situation today - stick to this place.

So where do you go?
When you're out of places to run
So, when the world is too much
Don't let it go (don't let go)
If you need someone to turn to, I'll be there for you
'Cause in this crazy world, you're not alone
You're not alone

Man, that was some kinda Uke playing, Dragon. Many tnx for that!

As is always the case - understandably - there's a Thread or two here elsewhere pondering the question of what to do at a plateau in Sobriety? A: Learn to play something like James Hill! Having designed and built this Solar-run House, I also enjoyed James' 'Homeboy' Drywall, and Electrical Wiring in the Vid background. Been there. Built that..

I been bustin' on upgrading our Trailer Solar up to 550 Watts via 2 Panels up on the Roof Luggage Rack that feed 4 Golf Cart Batteries. So, we leave for a Month tomorrow to go *wherever*. I also finished an uber-trick Mod of replacing the so-so Trailer Dinette with a Euro-style Sofa Bed for comfy seating; something we've never had.

Moab Utah Weather took a turn for the cold, so we've reversed our travel loop plan. We'll hit the Desert around Palm Springs first. Then, up the CA Coast. Beachcomb. See a few Pals. Chow fresh Seafood. Hike. Take Pictures. Figger out the route back on the fly. Keep the pace compatible with my meticulously-protected Serenity.

Rain/Hail here rinsed the smoke out the Sky, so Sunsets out on the Patio are mesmerizing again.

A different version of that Hendrix Song featuring what might be the World's Tallest Bass Player...

Wow, I dropped off for a couple of busy days and come back to naked bikes and beaches, amazing food descriptions (I live in Vermont, so I loved the reference to Vermont syrup … best in the universe IMHO), an hilarious Hulk gif, a beautiful mesa pic, angry cats, and so much more. This is a wonderful group! Can't think of a better bunch to hang with this weekend.

Manta, I had three squeaky toys for three dogs, and all was good. But one dog somehow killed the squeaker in one of them, so only two squeakies for three dogs and now there is mayhem here!

LHW, Fridays can be down days/nights for lots of people. I have started making specific plans for weekend days -- even things as simple as a long walk with the dogs -- so I have sober things to look forward to. Sometimes I have to force myself to follow my plans, or come up with new ones on the fly. But having things to do on Saturdays and Sundays really has helped. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Have a sober Saturday, everyone. I'm facing a big trigger event -- dinner with drinking friends -- but I have a good plan and strong commitment. Wish me luck!

James Hill is amazing!

So is Kenny Wayne Shepherd! Even behind his back! And I think his lead singer is great, too.

Mesa man. Wow!

Great plans and stunning view. From the house Mesa Man built ?

My plans are.... staying free. Working tomorrow. And generally forcing myself to do those things that I have been procrastinating on

(((((Zoey)))))

Remember to look at your group of friends that are drinking from your new pair of shoes… They are like the fruit flies into the wine glass.

They want to taste it but they go too far with greed of the ‘great feeling’ and they get addicted and then they drown .

We def have fun and no guilt days without the poison

I bet you’ll have a blast

Good morning! Friday is done and it was an easy day for me. I have a short day at work today, I'm just going in to help clean up the mess from last night and heading home. The rest of the weekend should be smooth sailing.
I hope everybody has a great Saturday!

I've given up on the Spartans this year but basketball is about to start.
