Well annoyed or not you set for me a great example of how I should reframe my thought process. I hope it’s possible. After all I once believed that I could never under any circumstances quit drinking, And voila here I am feeling fit and fine....on a Saturday morning!

With that it’s gym time.

PS, hope you can get some more rest.

That anaconda could technically eat her.

I've gone to small dogs from large this last iteration.

If your pet has you for lunch, what next?

Took my dad to movie night at the Royal Aircraft Museum last night. This is a Vicker Viscount, the aircraft that flew us from England to Canada in the '60's when the family immigrated. I wish todays modern aircraf had passengers windows as large as this one.

Dragon, I think promoting copper’s status to a precious metal is one of the things that is being mooted to curb this (i.e. adding red tape to control sale and distribution etc). Our handful of copper mines suggests that there is another source for all the copper that is apparently being exported. The irony I guess is that much of the cables that are stolen must surely get smeltered down and recycled to copper cable!

Our power is still off. I would hate having to go to a sports bar to watch the rugby🙂!

And this is the AvroCar, an early secret U.S. military project.

I’m jumping on board this thread. After 30 days sober back in August/September, one weekend screwed it up, and I’ve been struggling ever since. I realize that weekends need to be a time of heightened vigilance for me.

That sounds like a terrific evening you guys had Dragon. Hope you get to see the rugby Cap'n.

Well got the gardening work done.
It's a beautiful day about 28°c and blue skies.

I definitely get that about the fleeting drinking thoughts They don't have rules. . It's a control game... I am getting a little more confident personally with every month that passes.
Confidence in the ability to control it.

A lot of activity since I last posted in this thread, so a massive hello to everyone and hope you are having a good Saturday.

I don't really watch much UFC but I might watch the fight this weekend. Starts at 3am, so I might naturally awoke by main event time anyway.

Did you hear what happened in the UK last week? Bellator was on Channel 5 and was running late, it cut off at 6am for children's programming, Peppa Pig!

I can imagine it being both comical and annoying for fight fans, but I'd rather grown adults see a children's cartoon than kids watching caged violence.

Welcome, Mike!

I think I am up for a good comedy.

Any suggestions, weekenders?

MB you could always go the cartoon route. I was just watching Spongebob and was laughing my ass off. I’m 32 and been watching it since it started in 1999. Never gets old to me.

Thank you, Mike.

Put in on my list.

I just quit my job and going through another emotionally decompressing stage of my life, so I need a long list of comedies)

Midnight, Adam Sandler fits that bill. I remember one Sunday night when I was feeling really blue I watched Happy Gilmore and I was good to go!

Alas, still no power, so Mrs Haddock and I are camping in our own house (gaslights etc). At least that leaves one option only for dinner - barbeque!
