It wasn't on purpose. Accidents happen.

I recently had a kitchen accident that caused a trip to Emergency Care. It happens.

I know, Bim. But it feels like subconsciously on purpose.

The way I felt in the morning - great - was so out of ordinary it almost felt uncomfortable.

Now I am worried and hurt - that's the state I am used to.

Mission accomplished.

Off to a doctor.

See you)

I hope your bandage is not too cumbersome, MB.

At least with a doctor's care there will be much less chance of infection and breaking open.

Hope you get sorted MB. Had a similar issue but not as bad this morning. The sun is out, itís a beautiful warm day in the U.K. I got up early to make my first juice on this 28 day juice fast and while cutting peel off a lime the knife slipped and cut a chunk off my thumb knuckle! Filled with stingy lime juice, stung like mad, wouldnít stop bleeding.

Got an interview for a consultancy role next week and waiting to hear about another so feeling nervous and a bit anxious. I have not worked for 6 months whilst I have been at rehab and then home sorting my life out, getting a good safe alcohol free routine and soon life might get real again if one of the jobs comes through. This is going to be where I am tested as work is a drinking trigger for me, high stress, being around people all day and dealing with egos but I canít stay a lady of leisure forever I guess! xx

Well, there is no surgeon available at my local hospital, so they told me to go to the major hospital across the city.

Thank you very much.

I don't feel so great to rush around the city.

I'll let it heal till tomorrow and will go from there.

I bought supplies at the pharmacy and treated the wound.

I'm pretty confident in you, MantaLady.

You've lived a lot of life in the last 8 months, and you've accumulated a lot of new coping skills in your toolbox.

I think you'll be up to any challenge.

Have to echo what everyone else is saying - get to the Docs.

I cut a finger once and didnt get it tended bar antiseptic. Its now got that tingly sensation and lost a bit of touch/feeling. Dont know if it would have been a different story if I had been to the docs but at least I would not be asking myself the question

Just give it your best shot Manta.
I think you'll nail it and even if you dont they will be others.
The one thing i noticed about jobs and interviews is that there is a conditional unforessen luck factor where its like divine intervention.
Dont forget the basics if its a face to face : body language, smile, politeness, breathe... sometimes in the heat of a moment and stress we can transform into people who forget the basics (well I know I can ) )

I am not trying to overanalyze it, but it's spooky how normal it feels to be upset and anxious. I never noticed it before.

It's a good realization.

It's like abused/battered women (and men) who stay because it's what they know. Or how people keep picking the "same" partners that remind them of their last one, or who are just like mom or dad - in the same dysfunctional but comfortable/predictable/chaotic way.

Yes, Bim, exactly.

I eliminated abusive people from my life but keep playing their role myself holding on to what is familiar.

Typing with one hand sucks.

I'm sure your finger will be OK MidnightBlue, it is a nuisance though while it lasts.

Good luck MantaLady, fingers crossed for you.

For a number of reasons work is a struggle right now, lack of new orders. Still, at least it's hometime.

Wow, it’s been busy here!

Good luck with the finger/knuckle, Midnight and Manta. I’m definitely staying away from anything sharp this evening, unless it has to do with a sense of humor.

Vman, talk about lame wordplay jokes, I recently almost congratulated one of our Weekender friends with a “Now that’s the spirit, man!” for having made it through the weekend.

Willow, nice pic and good to see that you seem quite cheerful.

Have a good evening everyone!

Thank you, Sao and Captain.

It's not a finger though, it's hand) I actually freaked out because I was afraid I could hurt a muscle or ligament.
