So after being 2 months sober I was retrenched last September 2017. At 53 losing a job was a terrible outlook. I was paid out and decided to take the rest of the year of. I went to Bali for a month and India until January. I drank heavily on a daily basis. Then got home and reality hit no job. Partner went to work I sat at home and just drank from pretty much day break. Then I went for an interview, drunk but got the job! Basically I have been a heavy wine drinker until 2 days ago. So I am back. I have taken a lot of leave due to wine in my new job but passed my 6 month probation yesterday .

So I am back, tail between my leg. Day 2. Hello!!

Got home, past the bottle shop, went to coles and starting dinner. It will fill me up and get over the worst.

For years I got wasted on friday nights - now I don't - sometimes I go out still, sometimes I play music and sometimes, like tonight, I prefer the quiet

Now content with tummy full of a good meal. It sure helps. Feel content. Was irritable and grumpy at work the worst mood swings are gone by Monday before work..

Had a good long sleep now busying myself. Still raining so staying in and cooking to keep busy. 10am now normally would have downed a bottle of wine easily by now woth another 4-5 to go. Drinking sparkling water today. Feeling jittery but proud and strongish to get through the day.
Will be here most of the weekend. Also recording some movies for the afternoon.
