Anyone else amazed there still a alive

This thread has been on my mind for the last several days. It made me realize just how lucky I am. I need to be grateful for every single day. I need to be grateful for every person I meet and every thing I do. I need to feel grateful to be able to complain about little stupid things. I've been thinking back at all the people I've met and the great, and sometimes, not so great experiences I've had. I worked with high school students today that I might never got the chance to meet if I got what I deserved. I get a second change to better both my life and others. Doesn't get any better than that. A couple more thoughts on this...
Sometimes I am actively grateful for things like a serious back injury six months ago, that I am still dealing with and seeing the Dr about today, because I am alive to have it in the first place.
Also immediately on my mind is hat my 20 year old step son almost killed himself last week and I wouldn't be able to help him if I had relapsed in my 2 yr 10 month sober journey with his dad and my new family. Both his dad and I are sober and beginning the new phase presented to us as a team. it's the only way we can possibly support and love our son.
From specific things to being able to find him at the hospital where the ambulance took him bc we could think clearly and act fast...to the ongoing care he will need, as well as supporting his sixteen year old sister, I couldn't be more grateful for the life in recovery that guides me.
