Thanks Zoey, and I glad you enjoyed your visit. Cape Town is very special, and even I feel like a foreign tourist when I go there! You are quite right, they are called jack ass penquins. You probably saw them at Boulders Beach.

Congrats on your daughter’s progress and job interview, Dragon!

Jackass Penguins? I'm outraged

Congratulations to your daughter Dragon. Putting them all together at the same table seems like needless pressure.

Google Jack Ass Penguins, Sao … they are adorable and will make you proud!

My toughest work day is today … but I'm ready! It's great to feel sober and sharp instead of dull and foggy.

Happy Wednesday, Weekenders!

Hi weekenders!

I enjoyed an outing to Flea Bay New Zealand to see penguins return from the sea and scramble up the hill to their nesting places with chicks waiting on them. They didn’t sound like donkeys but wow did those nests smell! Fascinating critters..

Yep, the marathon bar of my youth was braided caramel/chocolate. Nice and chewey.

I hope hump day is progressing well for all those across the pond. Gotta get going here, but as this is the last day I’ll work for the week I’m ready to get going.

Curly whirly in the U.K. aswell Willow! Used to love those things x

My main choc of my youth was a double decker bar with a bag of cheesy wotaits as a teenager or a crunchie as a youngster. Ahh, the good old days when I could eat what I wanted with no consequences, at my age just typing out those chocolate bar names has added 2lbs to my butt haha! x

Well, if we are going to do this....

There is zero comparison to Australian chocolate bars.
The chocolate is better, there is less sugar and well, we have cherryripes.

I have won hearts across America with our cherryripes....ask Nick.....although he might tell you he prefers Turkish Delights (Aussie ones, different turkish delight), or possibly Picnics. Then of course there are Chokitos and Honey Logs.....and now you know why we both put on weight....

I have stopped buying it all now....my excuse was Nick had to try all this stuff.

My local newsagent/tobacconist/confectioners refused to stock Curly Wurlys on the grounds that they were too elaborate.

I've had a lousy day today, the worst in ages. Just about everyone I spoke with was either rude, incompetent, ignorant or all three. The world wide anti-Saoutchik conspiracy was in full swing. I felt like the Michael Douglas character in that old movie Falling Down.

In my drinking days I would have hit the bottle even earlier than usual and seethed. As it is I am going to play some Curtis Mayfield and Isley Brothers to try and decompress.

Sorry to hear your day was rubbish Sao... mine was too, but it didn't even need any negativ input from the outside in my case. Lets hope tomorrow will be better

And lets also not forget what an improvement it is, that we don't make it worse by drinking!

Welcome home.....to the place where you are loved and the people are competent and even somewhat brilliant. )

Also to the place where we don't like people not appreciating you and might just go and thump them. I am in the mood.

And I still hate the tie he wore in that movie.

I think it is time for a Sao love-in.....

Well, Sao, speaking of incompetence, today I was at the grocery store to pick up a loaf of sourdough bread.

I dropped it, and it gouged my leg and DREW BLOOD! Then it fell on the floor!

Have you ever heard of anyone else being bested by a loaf of bread?

I hope that brought a smile to your face!
