Thanks for the suggestions, Willow and GettingSmarter! Great ends of the spectrum: rest and get healthy -- learn and grow. You are both right on! I'll let you know how I build those into my weekend. Suddenly, I'm feeling more optimistic about the weekend. Thank you all!
Great to see you MidnightBlue, great to see you Snufkin! (btw I was in Aberdeen for work in August - nice city)
Welcome to Weekenders Michael, great to see another penguin on the thread.
Willow, it would be the easiest excuse in the world to drink over something like that. I'm so pleased you're not falling for it.

good morning all!
Snuf- is it a quarantine issue? Some times you can find shelters or animal groups that can set you up with a transport by car type of thing. We need to get you two reunited!!
todays plans are to putz around the house, get some work done on the car, not sure what else. Tomorrow going to continue my historical scavenger hunt and try to get some more checked off my book.
take care all!

Hi Weekenders. I can’t believe there are 30+ posts already. Nice to see all the usual suspects, and some old favourites like MB and Snuf.
Congrats on shotgun Sao. I could see that you were just waiting to pounce.
I’m sitting in the office wishing the next 25 min away so I can jump in my car and be off (Homer in the intro to the Simpsons comes to mind).

I had a surreally weird summer, feel like living in Matrix.
Don't know even where to start.
Maybe, that today I am exactly 5 years and 11 months sober.

I survived total of 3 (!) business trips to the service of the big boss's daughter, though the third one was cut short because we are having major issues at work.
I don't remember last time I felt that I wasted my life so much. Probably, when I was drinking.
