I have not posted today, but kept following the thread. Thank you to all you nice people, for getting me (and many others) through yet another sober weekend. It is wonderful to be stress free about how I will feel at the start of the week tomorrow, and almost be guaranteed a good night’s sleep.

Look forward to taking hands with you again in the coming week.

Time for a nice relaxing bath (are we men allowed to make known things like that?), then retire for the night with some reading and music. So much better than passing out!

Sending positive vibes Willow, you are doing great. You too petals.

Badge that's great news about your friends mom. It's amazing what surgery combined with physio/rehab can do these days so things might get a lot better yet.

Congratulations on 8 days Purplrcks, there is always room for Pooch power on Weekenders.

I’ve read only Dee’s opener and Sao’s Not Quite OP from last week.
But BAM...Dee’s opening pic and Sao’s first post hit me so square on the nose.

Bimini and Sao and Dee and everyone, all of you, who speak hard fact and real hope here - I have been wanting to report that I am sanely sober again and feeling better in every way. Obviously not for very long, but I know the deal.

I have once again proven to myself that complete stop is the only way toward the light. Thanks to SR, I have you to share every success with, even the very small ones.

I can’t hang out in front of a screen these days, it seems. I may have tiny addictive issues that extend to being online too much, ruminating while online instead of doing things IRL, procrastinating online, ending up in an anxious fit online because deadlines loom and I have not prepared IRL. And all of that behavior can lead to really BIG problems for me. Imagine that, right?

Good to see everyone still in the Weekender threads, and the bus still rolling on. Thanks all.
~Bix

Great to see you and a fantastic post Bixy! We understand about your online issues or I certainly do anyway as I spend too long online myself.

Hi everyone
Thanks for the support and the great music and photos ❤️
Sundays are a tough day for me, the two major things that made up Sundays are gone, coffee with Mum, and drinking wine.
I’m sad Mum’s gone and glad wine’s gone, but I’ll need to find something new to do so that wine doesn’t sneak back in.

I’m sooo glad to hear about your friend Badge, I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Sending lots of love and support and healing vives to her ❤️

It’s Monday morning here so I’m having coffee and thinking I’d better start getting ready for work, cya later everyone

Willow, your mom and dad are so deep inside your heart they are going everywhere with you. Keep holding them close. There's so much love there. I'm so proud of you for staying sober during this, and they would be proud of you, too! You are in my thoughts today and every day.

Happy Sunday, all you Weekenders.
Well done on 3 weeks Zoeydog! That’s awesome

And thanks so much for your lovely kind words, you’re right, Mum and Dad will always be in my heart , everywhere I go ❤️

Captain, I never understood why men usually don't appreciate baths as much, but maybe they just don't talk about it

I'm too tired to write much but I will share some more photos from yet another hike. This time I even have a sunset shot that was taken out of a car but it's still quite nice!
So here's more forest, some of it's inhabitants:

One of the tough things for me in early sobriety was getting use to walking the dog sober. I always had to have a few in me before heading out. I don't recall the subject of discussions, but I do know I had a few slury chats with some of the neighbours. I wonder sometimes how much the neighbourhood knew (or saw).

G'night.

Early start. Mrs Haddock got up a four am as she is flying out of town for work. She’ll be back tomorrow evening so until then the Corgi and I will keep each other company.

Nice pics, kevlarsjal. Having nature such as that relatively close by must be wonderful. I searched a bit on the band Kent that you talked about yesterday, and although I can’t follow the lyrics of their Swedish songs (apart from a word or two here and there) I like their music and videos. There is an especially nice video with Da som nu for alltid, which is a great instrumental track.

Morning all.

Congratulations on 3 weeks Zoeydog!

Good pics Kevlarsjal, it must be a pleasure to live near the countryside.

Monday morning already, where does the time go?
