A little late

I’m a little late posting this as I wanted to on my month. But I’ve reached 35 days! To think that I spent nearly two years thinking about quitting but was too scared to and frankly I don’t think my mind was ready to let go. Reading messages and other people’s posts has kept me going strong so thank you all! I returned to work two weeks ago and I was scared that I would relapse but haven’t despite having a particularly stressful Friday. I was able to go for a walk with my partner, visit a pub by the river and have a sparkling water and enjoy the last of the sunshine before going for dinner and WOW did it feel amazing to be making the choice to not drink. And I didn’t feel stressed after either. My body is slowly healing. Maybe not as quickly as I thought. But I don’t care. I know it will and I am grateful.

Great news! Posting daily to SR helped my resolve to stay quit.
