Checking in

Hey all,

I am doing well. I am jumping into AA and OP treatment program. I am sober, and feel physically great. Working out consistently.

Mood swings are a bitch though. I imagine it will take a while for that to stabilize.

My goals these days are to just not drink today. Can’t bite off more than I can chew. Thanks for the support y’all. Hope my Horns win this weekend. Hook ‘Em!

Glad to hear you're doing well. Those mood swings can be a doozy, the first few months were a complete roller coaster for me. Hang in there!

Good to hear all is well.

Does Librium help with mood swings? Are using using your prescription/have you talked to your doc?

If not one thing, maybe another. It can be a good thing to have hormone levels checked.

My mood swings settled down at around 3 mos. I was so used to turning to alcohol to cope with things. Of course, I realize now it never did a thing to help. You're doing great, Horn. Nice work.

I am not Librium anymore. Gives me weird dreams and can affect, uh, “performance.” 😉 I have it as backup if my anxiety gets too bad though. I am on campral, and Gabapentin for anxiety. The latter helps.
