Has anyone else experienced these issues?
 

Hello!

I am almost 4 months sober and have been really struggling with mouth related health issues. I had oral thrush about 3 months into sobriety and recently have been diagnosed with Burning Mouth Syndrome. Also have just been having overall mouth pain...tongue pain (burning, needle like pain, sometimes feels swollen, feeling of cramping) jaw and gum pain.

Just curious if anyone has had these problems?

I’ve seen doctors, had cancer checks, etc...
Really wanting relief...
Feeling discouraged...

I had a constant burning sensation on one side of my gums but none of the other symptoms.

I was eventually diagnosed with trigeminal neuropathy - the trigeminal nerve is the one that runs for the side of the face.

A tricyclic anti depressant call Endep works for me to deal with that pain.

I have TMJ too.

I had to see many doctors before found one who knew about this stuff - wishing you luck :)
