Hi guys - last week I started the weekender little later (Friday PM my time)

If nobody has any objections I might stick to that from now on. (raise your objections here )

Noones complained or anything like that - I just thought might be easier for new folks to jump in on page one rather than page three?

D

I did go to the gym earlier, wasn't easy as I had no energy. But I always feel a little better afterwards. My mood is still not great tonight but I made the best out of the evening by watching a series and now I will curl up in my bed which has gotten some fresh sheets today, so it'll feel extra nice.

Good night weekenders!

no objectons dee.

Mithril - I used to play 'Runescape'. Many years ago, that was thelast time I heard that word. I got banned for botting. The game quickly got boring so it became my hobby to write code that did repetative jobs for me.

So it turns out there is alot more to the story than I knew. Involving affairs and deceit. The resignator knew it was coming and so was trying to minimize fall out.

I carry an android running blackberry works. The server is somewhere in the states and my e-mail is never properly synced and it hardly every bings. I'm not complaining. I spent a good chuck of my earlier career sleeping with a pager under my pillow.

I use to support a remote office on Botswana, many many many years ago (Its not there anymore) when the only option for connectivity was VPN over dial-up. Many modems got fried when left plugged in during a storm. I have a hand made walking stick one of the fellows 'smuggled' back and gave to me.

I have no objection Dee.

Cool story about the Botswana office Dragon.

Petrol and Diesel cars have been banned from the roads near my Tube station during certain hours from yesterday. Not sure if it will make any difference. Central London has western Europe's worst air quality.

Have you checked out the new air purifiers from Dyson Sao. They are pretty cool but a tad expensive.

I have a nice branch in the middle of the lawn. A little chain saw work later this evening

Morning everyone.
Dee Friday's sounds a good idea... especially for new friends who may not want to join in part way through the thread.
ML have a good trip it Sounds great. I love reading this thread every day... it's pretty much the only one I ever read now.
I'm a few days into my new position in work... there has been a re-shuffle... and the atmosphere is not good. Last week alone another 2 people resigned! Found myself comfort eating last night...
It's very difficult to try to not let all the negativity get to me...
Time to face today.... catch you all later. Hugs xx

Hey Petals, do you know that on a scale of stress levels, I once saw, changing job or position in work was right up there with some pretty serious stuff like death in the family, going to prison etc... So I say, what Sao said yesterday, when the heat is on and the atmosphere is polluted try to avoid taking sides, avoid any viral people and "hide in the toilet"

My company has taken to shuffling people about by putting them into a different job for half a day everyday then telling them to manage priorities between the two jobs on their own. Allot of people cannot do this.

Thanks VMan, I have looked at air purifers but unfortunately they do not remove the NoX or Nitrous Oxide which is the real killer. I do however have a metre that reads how much there is in the air - it had exceeded the WHO recommended annual limit by 9th January.

All the best in your new position petals, these things are very stressful.

So I am in my local NHS drop in centre waiting for a Tetanus jab after being bitten on the finger by a squirrel. Oh the shame, the shame!

I probably shouldn't find this funny... But how did that happen?

(I hope your finger is alright though!)

Squirrels are vicious little beasts!

Ask about the potential for rabies, too. That would concern me more from an animal than tetanus.

I think they don't have rabies in the UK... very lucky!

Sao, I hope that your finger is okay!

Rabbit Air makes a good air purifier, too, with a choice of many different kinds of filters.

Vman, what a nice tree; be careful with that chain saw

Greetings, all.

Have a great day.
