Looking for support

I was briefly on here before but I made the mistake of not keeping up with participating in the discussions. However, I am back and looking for that 24/7/ 365 support.

Hi downnotout, welcome back! For me, reading and posting on SR is the single most important tool in my recovery. The first thing I would recommend is to join the August 2018 thread, to connect with people who are in the same stage of sobriety as you: https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...-three-11.html To join, all you need to do it post to introduce yourself and interact with the other members who are there. Do you have any support in real life?

This website is so full of information, experiences, understanding, hope... it has been instrumental in my recovery. Hearing stories that are so similar to mine (from various perspectives) has made me feel part of a community. It also feels really great to give back where you can, and feel that your experience is valid and can help someone else find hope.
