Day 9

Feeling a little bummed about where my life is at the moment but trying to be upbeat and positive. I have no desire to drink because I realize it will not help a thing only give me temporary satisfaction but reality will still be there in the morning. I feel there is change in the air and I will embrace it.

Day 9 is awesome . Going to bed sober and waking up strong to day 10 is on your horizon .

Unshackled - I think that's normal for Day 9. Those early days are rough. So many changes we're going through. Things will get better. Congratulations.

Yeah, it can be rough in the early days so treat yourself well. It gets better, the longer you're sober.

Congrats! Keep going! There will be lots of times that life will bum you out, drinking or not. But it will always pass and it’s always better getting through the bumps sober

Still sober today now day 10 thanks for asking Hevyn. Today the thought life is pretty boring not drinking has been on my mind. I had to pull out my list of bad things alcohol did for me and read it. I am really glad I made that list while I was still drinking.

Big time change in the air.

It's ok to feel bummed. That's very natural. Lots of us have been there.

Stay focused on one or two things - even small things - you can do each day. Make sure you include 'take a break and rest' now and then or 'treat myself to some ice cream' or something like that. Self-compassion is important.

But things don't happen overnight. That said, 30-60 days of small things is a helluva lot of stuff. And as you get each small win under your belt you learn to trust yourself more, you learn to enjoy and feel good about yourself. And that just fuels the process even more.

Stay tough and determined. Make this a priority. You will not regret it.
