Hi, Ayers. We alkies do like instant gratification but I assure you that soon you will see real differences in your appearance and your mental and physical health. I had awful rosacea and my skin cleared completely; I no longer looked pale and sickly. I lost 40 pounds and no longer am bloated and flabby. I got motivated to ride my bike and practice yoga--to care about myself again. The neuropathy in my hands and feet went away. My eyes are clear and I no longer have the shakes.
Quitting drink was the best decision I ever made. On August 23 I have 2 years and 8 months and I never want to go back to that alcoholic way of death. Keep up the great work and best wishes on your sober journey!
